Live on Stage

Jeremy's greatest performance to date in any medium was as Henry in Stoppard's The Real Thing on Broadway in 1984. It took Tony Awards for almost everything, including one for Jeremy as Best Actor. I had the privilege of being taken to see it for my birthday that year and, as I often do, waited for the stars' autographs at the stage door. Even though it was a cold winter night and his limousine was idling at the curb, Jeremy stopped and chatted with each fan who was there for him. He even gave ME a big hug! When you meet him, Jeremy displays a kind of warmth and profound regard for another person no one else has ever come close to, in my experience.
