![]() Stars Irons And Cusack's Library Appeal by News Editor, This Is Oxfordshire Two of Watlington's most famous residents, actor Jeremy Irons and actress Sinead Cusack, his wife, are to help plans to extend the town's library. Early next year they will give a public play reading. The event will be one of several aimed at raising £100,000 to fund an extension to the library and buy new equipment. Events also include Benson Choral Society performing Handel's Messiah before Christmas, a large bric-a-brac sale to be held at Foreman's Garage in High Street on May 11 and a flag day in July. Friends of Watlington Library, which launched the appeal, hope the extension and new equipment will be of special help to children and the elderly.
